Equifax Data Breach

Dear Members,

As you might have heard, over 143 million people were affected by the recent Equifax cybersecurity attack and breach. We would like to provide you with more information on the attack and ways to protect yourself.

The attack occurred from mid-May through July 2017 and was discovered on July 29.The personally identifiable information that was accessed included:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Birth dates
  • Addresses
  • Driver’s license numbers (in some cases)
While the facts are disappointing and concerning, there are some actions you can take right now to help protect yourself from identity theft and fraud:
