Introducing IDCheck

As fraud risks continue to grow, IDCheck helps protect your identity during in-branch transactions—especially at Shared Branch locations.

Who it’s for:
IDCheck applies to all credit union members who use Shared Branch services, whether you’re visiting your home credit union or another participating location.

What it does:
IDCheck securely verifies your identity, giving staff greater confidence and helping prevent account takeover and identity theft.

Why it matters:

  • Protects your personal and financial information

  • Speeds up the verification process at branches

  • Allows you to complete initial verification at home for a faster in-branch experience

How to Get Started:

  1. Scan the QR code located here or visit verify.coop.org.

  2. Select your credit union name from the drop-down list.

  3. Enter your member number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

  4. Upload a photo of your ID and take a selfie.
    Tip: Save your validation for an even quicker experience next time!

  5. Show your one-time passcode to the teller. (The passcode is valid for 20 minutes.)

Implementation Date:

IDCheck will be fully implemented on May 1st, 2025.

Fraud Alert: Fake “unauthorized transaction” texts are circulating. We’ll never ask for your card number, PIN, or login by text or phone. Phone numbers can be spoofed—hang up and call the number on the back of your debit card to verify.
